Adam joined Hampshire from his boyhood county Essex in 2013 where he had graduated from the Academy, but soon became frustrated at being England wicket Keeper James Fosters understudy.
Despite limited opportunities with the gloves at Essex, Adam still often played as a specialist batsman and joined Hampshire with an impressive First Class average of 40. Adam made the move to Hampshire and was immediately handed the gloves at the start of the 2013 season. He also continued his impressive form with the bat, scoring 3 First Class centuries in a successful first season with his new county.
After two impressive seasons both with the bat and behind the stumps, Adam was awarded with a new three-year contract extension in July 2014.
