Alastair Cook made his cricket debut for England in India aged just 21 in early 2006 scoring a 100 in his very first match – a feat achieved by only a handful of players in the history of the game. He followed this up with a further three 100s in his first 10 Tests and became the youngest English player ever to score 2000 Test runs. Alastair also became the quickest English player ever and 2nd youngest worldwide behind Tendulkar, to score 5,000 Test runs having taken under 5 years to achieve this milestone. Alastair was made England Captain in August 2012 and held the role until stepping down in 2017.
Alastair’s England career came to an end in September 2018, following a victorious test series against India. Cook bowed out of the England set-up with an illustrious record a was hailed England’s greatest ever player, by fellow Paragon client, Andrew Strauss.
In the 2010/11 Ashes series he scored an amazing 766 runs in the series the second highest aggregate of runs by an Englishman in any Test series. He averaged an incredible 127 having batted for over 36 hours in the series and went on to win the Ashes.
Alastair retired from England duty after a victorious Test series against India in September 2018. Alastair scored 147 in his final Test innings at The Oval and at the end of that year, Cook was knighted for services to cricket. Following his retirement, Cook joined the BBC Radio 5-Live ‘Test Match Special’ team, alongside Paragon co-founder Phil Tufnell.
In addition to his cricket achievements, Alastair has recorded a Saxophone Solo for a BBC1 Children’s Programme ‘Freefonix’, which was launched in 2008, as well as appearing in several non-sporting publications which have championed his good looks – including a poll in Tatler magazine for most eligible bachelors as well as a top ten place in the Sunday Times best looking sportsmen.
The position of Alastair as a Brand Ambassador / Product Endorser would allow your Company or Brand to have access to an individual England cricketer who is likely to be at the top of his game for a further 10 years and who will achieve and surpass many records that have been set by some of the all-time greats of the game.
Alastair is a brand ambassador for Gray Nicolls, one of cricket’s leading equipment manufacturers who sponsor Alastair and he has enjoyed a successful relationship with them throughout his career.
Alastair is also available for our Lord’s Experience where groups of 10-30 can take part in a nets session with Alastair, who will give you a tour of the historic Lord’s ground before sitting down for a 3-course meal and drinks in Lord’s Tavern with the man himself.
