Ben Foakes

Ben Foakes is a highly talented wicket keeper batsman who made his England debut in 2018.

• Was the leading run scorer at the U19 Cricket World Cup in 2012
• Has played for the England Lions
• Scored century on England test debut against Sri Lanka in 2018

Ben played cricket for Essex regularly at all age groups before going on to represent the England U19 side, where he went on to become the leading run scorer at the U19 World Cup in 2012.

After an impressive first professional season with Essex in 2012, including a 93 on his Championship debut, Ben was selected for the England Lions Tour to Australia and has been a consistent member of the Lions set up ever since. Ben is a player the England selectors have kept a very close eye on and he is regularly invited to train with the senior squad.

At the end of the 2014 season, it was announced that the 23-year-old had signed for Surrey on a three-year contract. After 3 impressive seasons Ben got his England call up for the 2017/18 Ashes series in Australia. Although he didn’t play in that series, Ben was there to take his chance when it came. He made his England debut against Sri Lanka in Galle in November 2018 and scored a brilliant century on debut. Foakes joins a sterling list of players to have scored a century on their Test debut for England, including fellow Paragon clients Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook.
