Dawid Malan

Dawid Malan is a powerful left-handed batsman and right arm leg break bowler born in Roehampton and currently, plays with Middlesex County Cricket Club as Captain (T20).

• Dawid Malan won 'man of the match' on his England debut. Malan hit 78 in the game.
• Malan hit the first England century of the 2017/18 Ashes, which was also his first ever Test ton.
• Over his career, Malan has played club cricket in both Pakistan and Bangladesh.
• Malan scored 65, in the first-ever Day/Night test game played in England, at Edgbaston in August 2017.

Dawid started his career out with the Boland Cricket Team in South Africa before securing a move to Middlesex, where impressive performances earned him a place on the newly formed Peshawar Zalmi side for the winter season in the Pakistan Super League. Dawid has also represented the England Lions in Dubai this year against Pakistan. Malan broke into the full England side in 2016, before hitting his first England ton in the third Ashes Test of the 2017/18 series.

Malan comes from a very sporting family with his father and brother also making it to the professional ranks of Cricket.

Dawid had a number of superb centuries last year in all Cricketing formats with one of his 6s infamously hitting the roof of a Ferrari in the car park, such was its power.

His Middlesex side finished 2nd in the County Championship last year and Dawid will be keen to ensure they are crowned champions at the end of the season.
